The business, A Spring Cleaning, was started in 1976. It worked for and at the direction of Real Estate agents. I had done this work before while going to high school and college. Many Property Managers relied on me at the first of the month. It was a busy time of long hours.  

By 1988 A Spring Cleaning was capable of doing everything in a home. We have taken four houses down to the studs inside and out and rebuilt them. Over a thousand other houses have had less extreme make overs. 

In 2001 my wife joined the company to fill out the cleaning portion of the business. It was an immediate success. While she runs the regularly scheduled cleaning service I still prefer one time deep cleaning. We also have a truck and van for hauling.

It's hard to maintain a home in today's economy. We all need extra help to get the basement cleaned or the garage brought under control. There are many great companies out there to help you. I personally believe we do a better job.

We work directly with home owners and keep our own schedule so there are no surprises. A part of the bid process is to break a project down into manageable tasks. Many times we are given a time frame. Another part of the process is to add more people rather than more days.

We bring at least two or three people at a time. With a supervisor that makes three or four people per hour. We have a four man hour minimum.

Little things make a big difference so it's important to spend your money wisely.

This past year has been very hectic for our company. It started with an interview on the radio, an article in a national publication, a mention on the Tyra Banks TV show, and now this award.

The service sector has always been a driving force in the economy. Our part has been in providing jobs and opportunities. Two other cleaning companies have been started from ours since 2003.
